Introducing PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol Insecticide, also known as Prescription Treatment (PT) 565 Plus XLO, a remarkable product manufactured by BASF. This aerosol insecticide is specially formulated to swiftly eliminate spiders, gnats, and other insects upon contact.

With its low odor and non-residual properties, PT 565 Plus XLO can be conveniently sprayed into cracks, crevices, voids, and used as a space spray application, effectively targeting a wide range of flying and crawling pests. As a pressurized non-residual insecticide, it provides exceptional insect control, making it ideal for use in sensitive commercial areas.

PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol Insecticide is a professional-grade solution that delivers rapid pest knockdown. It harnesses the power of natural pyrethrins at a concentration of 0.5%, combined with two potent synergists: Piperonyl butoxide at 1.0% and n-Octyl Bicycloheptene Dicarboximide at 1.0%. Derived from an organic compound found in the Chrysanthemum flower, pyrethrins act on the pests' central nervous system, causing swift elimination. Additionally, they serve as irritants to flush pests from deep within cracks. The synergists further enhance the natural efficacy of the pyrethrins, resulting in comprehensive control of indoor and outdoor insects.

Tools Needed:

No tools are required to apply PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol. Each 14 oz can comes equipped with an applicator straw designed for precise application in cracks, crevices, and for flushing out pests.

Additionally, PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol Insecticide can be conveniently applied using the BASF Whitemire System III applicator tool.

How to Apply:

Step 1: To begin treatment with PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol Insecticide, give the can a good shake to activate the formula. Remove the cap and attach the applicator straw to the can. For indoor applications, it's important to remove pets, birds, and cover fish aquariums. Turn off motors before applying. If using it as a space spray, switch off air conditioners and fans, and close doors and windows prior to treatment.

Step 2: When treating cracks, crevices, voids, or other insect harboring areas, insert the applicator straw into the openings. Press the button for 1 second. For mild infestations, move the injector tip along cracks, treating at a rate of 3 feet per second. For severe infestations, move the injector tip at a rate of 1 foot per second. The amount of product applied should not exceed 1 second (1.5 grams) per square foot.

Step 3: For direct spray applications, aim from a distance of 18 to 24 inches, spraying in short bursts, allowing the product to reach the intended area. The amount of product applied should not exceed 10 seconds per room in residential areas, or 10 seconds per 100 square feet in commercial areas.

Step 4: For space spray applications, calculate the cubic footage of the treatment area. Apply at a rate of 1 to 3 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet for flying insects, and 20 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet for crawling insects. Disperse the product in areas with higher infestation, targeting as many insects as possible. Leave the room and keep the treated area closed for 15 minutes. Open windows and ensure thorough ventilation before reoccupying. The amount of product applied should not exceed 20 seconds (30 grams) per 1,000 cubic feet. Avoid making space spray applications in food areas while the facility is operational.

Step 5: Reapply PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol Insecticide every 7 to 10 days, or as needed, until the infestation is eliminated. Allow treated areas to ventilate and dry before entering or touching them.

Recommended Usage Areas:

PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol can be effectively applied both indoors and outdoors to address cracks, crevices, and wall voids. It is suitable for use in various locations, including apartments, campgrounds, food storage areas, homes, hospitals, hotels, motels, nursing homes, resorts, restaurants, and other food handling establishments, schools, supermarkets, transportation equipment (boats, buses, planes, ships, trains, and trucks), utilities, warehouses, as well as other commercial and industrial buildings.

For outdoor applications, it is important to restrict treatments to the surfaces of buildings and perform spot treatments on structures.

Non-food areas that can be treated include garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains leading to sewers, entries and vestibules, offices, locker rooms, machine rooms, boiler rooms, garages, mop closets, and storage rooms (after canning or bottling).

It is essential to avoid spraying PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol on plastic, painted, or varnished surfaces. Additionally, direct application into electrical equipment such as radios, televisions, computers, and similar devices should be strictly avoided.

When to Apply:

PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol Insecticide is recommended for addressing crawling and flying pests, whether they are present indoors or outdoors, ranging from low to high infestation levels. It is important to ensure that the temperature of the cans is above 60 degrees Fahrenheit before usage.

When using PT 565 Plus XLO as a direct spray, it is crucial to refrain from entering the treated area or allowing others to enter until the spray has completely dried. Additionally, outdoor applications should not be carried out during rainy conditions.

For space spray applications in food handling and processing facilities, certain precautions should be taken: avoid making applications when the facility is operational, cover or remove food from the treatment area, and either cover food processing surfaces during treatment or clean them thoroughly after treatment and before use.

Safety Precautions:

When PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol is applied in accordance with the instructions on the product label, it is safe to use around children and pets. However, it is important to always follow the recommended safety guidelines and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying or handling this product.

If applying directly to clothing, it is advised to have the treated clothes dry cleaned before wearing them.

To ensure safety, it is crucial to prevent adults, children, and pets from entering the treated area for a minimum of 15 minutes. It is also important to allow the vapors, mists, and aerosols to disperse and the treated area to be thoroughly ventilated before re-entry.

Things to Consider:

To achieve optimal results when using PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol as a space spray, it is recommended to turn off any air circulation devices, including ceiling fans and A/C-Heat systems. Additionally, closing the doors and windows during treatment can enhance effectiveness.

It's important to note that once PT 565 Plus XLO Aerosol has dried, it does not possess residual killing properties against insects that come into contact with the treated areas.
